Position Summary
We are hiring a Technical Data Analyst to support data management activities within the Asset Management division. This role focuses on maintaining high-quality financial data related to securities, pricing, benchmarks, indices, and analytics. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets, performing detailed validations, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and validate financial instrument data including pricing, benchmarks, and valuation datasets
Perform daily and periodic reconciliations, data checks, and reporting within defined timelines
Investigate data discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions
Respond to business queries from investment teams, risk functions, and internal stakeholders
Ensure documentation is up to date and aligned with data governance standards
Recommend improvements to strengthen data workflows, controls, and operational processes
Support system testing, upgrades, and production releases in coordination with IT and external vendors
Work with tools such as SQL, Excel, VBA, ETL platforms, and financial market data systems
Team Environment
You will be part of a global data operations team responsible for delivering accurate benchmark and analytics data to investment professionals. The team operates across multiple regions to ensure consistent service and operational coverage.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of financial instruments, asset classes, and benchmark concepts
Hands-on experience with reconciliation processes and data analysis
Proficiency in Excel and SQL for data manipulation and reporting
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to clearly explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Skills
Basic scripting knowledge such as Python or Shell
Experience with reporting tools like Power BI
Familiarity with ETL tools and financial data platforms
Understanding of vendor data management processes
