Responsibilities :
A candidate will be responsible for working closely with business teams and system engineers to develop design specifications that meet both technical and business requirements. It needs analyzing different chip architecture options to ensure the design fulfills specifications while delivering high performance at a competitive cost.
An important responsibility of a candidate is participating in design reviews and preparing essential design and product documentation. This involves ensuring that all necessary details are clearly recorded for future reference.
Another important task of the role is overseeing IC (integrated circuit) layouts to maintain high-performance standards. By closely monitoring the design and layout process, the goal is to ensure efficient and optimized circuit performance.
A candidate’s task will also includes testing and characterizing prototypes to verify their functionality. Developing test specifications is an important part of this process, and collaboration with test and product engineering teams is necessary to drive successful product releases.
