📌 Position Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its world-class cloud infrastructure in India, and ADSIPL is hiring DCO Trainees to support its rapidly growing Data Center Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates who are passionate about IT infrastructure, server hardware, and cloud technologies. As a Data Center Operations (DCO) Trainee, you will work in high-density, large-scale data centers that power AWS cloud services globally.

The role involves hands-on technical work in a 24x7 operational environment, supporting mission-critical infrastructure that ensures high availability and reliability for AWS customers.

🔧 Core Responsibilities

• Support the installation, maintenance, and operational stability of data center infrastructure.

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix activities.

• Troubleshoot server, storage, and basic networking issues.

• Act as the first point of contact for hardware-level troubleshooting.

• Resolve assigned tickets within defined SLAs using structured workflows.

• Coordinate with internal teams such as Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Technical Operations.

• Work with external vendors and service providers when required.

• Participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.

• Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) documentation for technical incidents.

• Maintain safety, security, and operational compliance within the data center.

• Assist in process improvement initiatives.

• Support 24x7 shift operations, including rotational shifts.

Note:
This role involves physical tasks such as lifting and racking equipment up to 18 kg and working in confined or elevated spaces while following safety guidelines.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• BE/B.Tech degree in:

  • Information Technology (IT)

  • Information Systems (IS)

  • Electronics & Communication (ECE)

  • Electronics & Telecommunications

• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system administration

• Experience in server hardware troubleshooting

• Knowledge of server boot processes (POST, BIOS, PXE, Kickstart, GRUB/LILO, RAID)

• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 concepts)

• Understanding of copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, and routers

• Good communication skills

• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and data center technologies

⭐ Preferred Skills

• Remote access tools such as Console Routers, IPMI, BMC

• Network equipment installation and configuration

• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, NX-OS, or JunOS

• Understanding of redundancy concepts (Power feeds, ATS, RAID, network redundancy)

• Exposure to data center operations (Inventory management, Hot/Cold aisle concepts, Security)

• Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, EBS, and S3

• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby)

• Exposure to project coordination or project management
